In his 30 year career as a sloganeer, message packager, and branding strategist, he has created thousands of brand expressions – from corporate taglines, city mottos, and campaign slogans to company and product names, headlines, and other short-form messages. His clients span the globe and have included American Express, Apple, Emory University, FedEx, the Ford Foundation, Oracle, Safeway, Sun Microsystems, United Business Media, and Wells Fargo.
Mr. Swartz is a recipient of a publishing award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and has spoken on the subject of branding and tagline development at the Commonwealth Club of California. His articles have appeared in numerous professional publications, and his quips and quotes have been published by BusinessWeek, Brandweek, MSN.com, MSNBC.com, American Way Magazine, Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today, and the Los Angeles Times. Eric received his B.A. in Communication & Public Policy from U.C. Berkeley and his M.A. in Communications from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
